So here we are again: Christmas. In the past few years, I haven’t just wished people “Merry Christmas”, but have always released new music as a kind of Christmas present. My album “Epsilon” was released at Christmas, my song “The Strangest Year” too and “Home” was also a Christmas release (at least on Spotify & Co.). And this year? Well, unfortunately there’s nothing this year.
It’s been a difficult year
2022 was not a particularly creative year. Unfortunately, I only got to devote myself to my greatest passion, music, very, very rarely. There are a few tracks that I started this year, but I only really released “Stop The War“. That was due to a variety of things. 2022 was just a big challenge. So I was all the more pleased that someone out there still listened to my music from time to time.
The song with probably the longest title I will ever have written, “She tells him that their love is over but they stay friends, even if he still loves her and hopes that she will come back some day“, was played more than 3000 times on SoundCloud this year. Of course, David Guetta would laugh his head off at that, but for me it’s a nice success. And it’s great that people in Pakistan or Egypt like my music. I don’t know how they found my music, but it’s great that they like it.
I don’t know if anyone out there was eagerly waiting to see what kind of music I would release today and if anyone is now disappointed that it’s not happening (I’m pretty sure that’s not the case), but that’s the way it is, unfortunately. But that doesn’t change the fact that I wish us all a nice, peaceful Christmas! Enjoy the time with your loved ones and be kind to each other. Merry Christmas!
